Baker Full Time

We are looking for A Baker, who is an integral part of the Coffee shop! Baker’s key duties include preparing a variety of desserts, pastries and other baked goods; prepare dough, mixing batters, creating new recipes or closely following existing ones, receiving special orders from customers, adhering to all food quality and workplace safety protocols, and ensuring timely completion of baked products.

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a small team to bake products early each morning.
• Read production schedules and recipes, measure and mix ingredients, mold and shape dough, and process everything through the ovens
• Prepare products according to food safety standards
• Production planning (forecasting, keeping up with the demand etc.)
• Assist in stock control on all perishable stock
• Ensure consistency & quality of production
• Help ensure production areas are maintained and cleaned to highest standards

Requirements:

• Morning person as shifts start as early as 5 AM
• Previous baking experience is an asset. We’re also happy to train you.
• Have a positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong sense of urgency. *ndly, good communication and calm under pressure
• Multi-tasking skills
• Continuous standing/walking for all tasks
• Frequent lifting and carrying up to 22 kg
• Frequent turning and reaching
• Occasional pushing, pulling, and some forward bending
• Constant use of both hands, with frequent wrist rotation and flexing, occasional forceful gripping
• Reliable and able to work independently with confidence and also able to work as a team *Pay attention to detail
• Able to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to read instructions and follow directions in English
• Strong organizational skills and time management skills
• Must be accountable for the quality and standard of products produced
