Snowboard Instructors

My names DeeDee. I’m 20 years old and grew up in the county of Somerset, England. I love the outdoors, having new experiences, meeting people and learning new skills. I’m very outgoing and bubbly. After I left college I solo travelled throughout Central America and most recently spent 4 months in British Columbia, Canada qualifying to become a level 2 snowboarding instructor. In my spare time I like to skateboard, surf and make clothes. I have 3 younger brothers aged 6, 10 and 17 who when I’m at home I love to skateboard with and teach them. From age 9-14 I was part of Wookey Hole Circus where I trained 9 hours a week and performed every weekend. An aspect of the circus was teaching the new member circus tricks that I had accomplished like juggling, uni cycle, Ariel hoop and silks. As part of my Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award I taught Dance to age  5-9 for a 2 year period. Christmas 22 I worked as an elf at winter wonderland, Cribbs Causeway, Bristol where I guided children through Santa’s Grotto, ensuring a memorable and magical experience. Performed skits and entertained guests with enthusiasm, comedy and joy. I am a very well-rounded person who is enthusiastic about working hard. I’m always eager to expand and improve my skill set and learn new things, as I believe there is always something to be learned from every new experience. I enjoy challenging myself and like working with the attitude that if something is worth doing, it’s worth doing to the best of your ability. I spend a lot of time outdoors in nature whenever possible, exercising or just enjoying the beauty of the great outdoors. I have a passion for music, arts and culture. All of my work experience is people orientated. My Previous jobs have developed my understanding of working in a team under high pressure. Communication skills have been key to all of my jobs and  have taught me a lot about the importance of time management and efficiency. Gaining my most recent qualification as a CASI Qualified level 2 Instructor consisted of 11 weeks of thorough analysation of my riding and teaching ability. I learned how to develop a lesson plan and engaging learning environment with a focus on safety and effective communication. Developed techniques to address specific riding problems and create engaging lessons for children.
