SIA SNOWBOARDLEHRER – ANWÄRTER

SIA Snowboard instructor Level 2

– Trained by SIA Austria for 4 weeks followed by a 10-day examination by Snowsports Academy, passed both theory and practical examinations in German.

BASI SNOWBOARD LEVEL 2

– Trained for 2 weeks with Snowboard Coach in Arinsal, Andorra. I Passed my Level 2 and also managed to get a week of independent Instructing experience with the Arinsal Ski School during the February half-term – I loved it! – I spent January to April in Arinsal, developing relationships with other Instructors, Lifites, Seasoners and Locals. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Arinsal and would love to spend another season there.

OUTDOOR FIRST AID

Outdoor first aid – Level 3 trained

– Trained on a 2 day course with Nuco training and certificate issued by First Aid Awards.

Work Experience

CHILL FACTORE, MANCHESTER, UK

Snowboard Instructor (Full-time) March 2022 – Nov 2022;

This was my first job instructing after coming fresh out of the SIA Anwarter program. I learnt and developed the vital qualities that make a great Instructor; Patience and Composure, Adaptation, Humour, Empathy, and most importantly (for me) Enthusiasm. I loved my job at Chill Factore and my work there really felt like more of a hobby than a job. I repeatedly achieved the highest rated monthly feedback amongst the dozens of Instructors during my tenure. I developed my passion for Instructing at Chill Factore, always arriving and leaving work with a smile on my face.

CHARLES PUGH GLASS

Warehouse Operative (Part-time) 2015-2021; Learnt valuable lessons about work ethics, timekeeping, Teamwork, Health and Safety and general Safety procedures. Developed strong communication skills, forming interpersonal relationships with all staff due to being part of the family business.

Technician (Full-time) Sept 2021- Jan 2022; Working on the road independently, customer to-customer, covering Derbyshire; Nottinghamshire; Leicestershire; Sheffield; Doncaster and Manchester. Meeting new customers on the daily developed my general customer service, communication skills and patience vastly.

LANGUAGES

Skilled in languages, I am fluent in Spanish thanks to having a Spanish mother. I can speak competent French from my GCSE and A Level studies. I am also able to teach snowboarding in German following my training in Austria. I have recently been picking up lots of mandarin at work also due to the large amount of Chinese guests.

SOCIAL SKILLS

I am a strong, charismatic and confident communicator. I am a very approachable individual with little nerves when it comes to interacting with new people.

SPORTS

I am a sportive individual, with many past interests in multiple sports such as football for over 10 years at grass roots and university level.
