The Vine Tree Restaurant – Waiter & Bartender (June 2022 to Present)
I joined the team as a waiter taking food orders, serving the customers meals and bar orders
and dealing with any problems which arose in a professional and polite manner.
I was promoted to bartender in February 2023, my duties include preparing & serving drinks
including cocktails, checking and ordering stock for the bar including incidentals such as
straws & fruit.
I am also responsible for taking phone & walk-in bookings and cashing up at the end of day.
EH Accountancy – Bookkeeper (September 2018 to Present)
I work alongside a team of accountants and bookkeepers in a busy accountancy practice
where my general role is data entry using different software packages including Sage, Xero,
Excel & Google Sheets, Microsoft word.
My main tasks are:
Scanning paperwork and uploading onto our online accounting systems (Hubdoc &
Autoentry)
Accurately record the sales and purchase ledger invoices and request any missing invoices
for the bookkeeping clients I maintain.
Update the work logs when I have completed work to ensure the smooth running of the
office.
Create, maintain and update spreadsheets including stock control sheets & rental property
sheets.
I also answer the telephone and update the call log system to ensure calls are picked up by
the correct person.
I have gained an understanding of the different tax codes needed for accurate reporting,
what to look for on an invoice or receipt to record the data quickly & accurately and
proficiency in my ability to use software such as Excel, Word, Google Docs & specialist
accounting software including Xero & Sage.
Taylor and Co – Estate agent (June 2022 to Present)
My role is to support the team who are in the field by meeting and greeting customers who
come into the showroom, answering phone calls, dealing with any enquiries and leaving
comprehensive messages for the correct team member.
I also arrange viewings and confirm with clients and add the details to the Expert Agent
estate agency software system.
Take mailing list applicants’ details in line with current GDPR guidelines and enter them on
Expert Agent.
Abergavenny Food Festival (AFF) – Ticket Team Manager (2022 and 2023)
AFF is an Annual Food Festival held in Abergavenny that takes place over a weekend in
September with 20,000 people attending.
I am responsible throughout the year for answering any queries & bookings that come into
the ticketing email address and answering the dedicated phone line.
From August to September my role changes and I am responsible for printing, processing
and posting all of the ticket orders. This requires accuracy to ensure the tickets sent out
relate to the events ordered.
On the festival weekend I am responsible for handing out any tickets which have been
ordered for collection on the day. I am responsible for 3 members of staff who assist in this
process.
I also deal with the public answering questions and queries relating to tickets and the
festival.
