Ski instructor in adaptive organisation – Canadian Rockies Full Time

Rocky Mountain Adaptive (RMA) is a registered charity whose mission is to enable all children and adults with physical, developmental, and/or cognitive challenges to participate, learn, and excel in all sports and recreational activities in the Canadian Rockies. NO LIMITS!

Overview

An Adaptive Snowsports Instructor will assist RMA in their delivery of their adaptive winter programs by teaching and assisting in adaptive ski lessons at Sunshine Village and other resorts.

Duties

• Teach a variety of adaptive ski lessons
• Liaise with RMA guests and their families
• Keep weekly reports of lessons
• Maintain a clean and tidy workspace
• Assist with raising awareness of RMA and fundraising events
• Perform other such duties as may be assigned

Requirements

• Advanced skiing or riding abilities
• Strong ability to adapt teaching methods
• CSIA or CASI certifications or international equivalent (Minimum Level 1)
• CADS certifications or international equivalent an asset
• Mandatory background check
• Contract Information
• Mid December – Mid March/April for 1, 2 or 3 days per week.

Renumeration
Days teaching are based on 6 hour days. A Season Pass to Sunshine Village will be provided.
